About this work

The Weight of Years is a portrait that explores the depths of human experience through a face marked by time.

The beard, the features, and the variations in light become narrative elements, capable of suggesting a story without explicitly telling it.

The oil paint gives the subject an intense and material presence, enhancing the expressive nature of the face.

The work invites us to observe old age not as a loss of beauty, but as a testimony to life, memory, and identity.
